Community investment: Safety

At Enbridge nothing is more important than safety—it’s at the heart of everything we do. For us, it isn’t just about our operational safety, it’s also about the safety of the communities where we live and work. We’re proud to invest in local safety initiatives and the organizations that are important to communities.

When we invest with partners, we focus on areas that improve everyone’s safety including:

  • Community safety
  • Equipment needed to assist first responders and other organizations in the event of an emergency
  • Training and development for the people responsible for community safety
  • Disaster relief

In 2002, Enbridge launched our Safe Community Program to support local first-response emergency services. Over the years, our grants have helped support everything from new firehoses, training and the purchase of jaws-of-life for fire departments to policing equipment, automated external defibrillators, vehicles and major financial support of air ambulance services.
